Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Chamber Connect app ("the app") collects, how the Lathrup Village Chamber of Commerce ("the Chamber", "we") uses it, and the choices you have.
Browsing as a guest
You can browse the business directory, events, deals and Chamber news without an account. We do not collect personal information from guests.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you create an account, sign in with email, or use Sign in with Apple. If you choose "Hide My Email", we receive an Apple relay address instead of your email.
- Membership information: your membership application, status, tier and membership number.
- Activity you create: saved businesses, event RSVPs, reviews, and messages you send to the Chamber.
- Receipts: photos or files of receipts and the purchase amount you submit to earn points.
- Notifications: if you turn on notifications, a push notification token for your device.
The app does not use advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not access your precise location, contacts or camera.
How we use information
- To provide your account, membership card, points and badges.
- To save your businesses and RSVPs, show your reviews, and review receipts you submit.
- To reply to your messages and send Chamber announcements you have opted into.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Service providers
Account data and content are stored with Supabase, our hosting and database provider, and are processed only to operate the app. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple. Push notifications are delivered by Apple Push Notification service.
Retention and deleting your account
We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app under More → Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile, membership details, receipts, saved businesses, RSVPs and messages, and revokes Sign in with Apple access where applicable.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
